PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues to strengthen its role as the orchestrator of Indonesia's digital ecosystem through the #ElevatingYourFuture (EYF) umbrella campaign. This initiative is part of the company's commitment to encouraging increased digital literacy, accelerating the digital transformation of MSMEs, and strengthening the national digital talent and innovation ecosystem.
Amid the rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the level of digital technology utilization in Indonesia still has significant room for growth. Of the approximately 65 million MSMEs in Indonesia, only around 39% have undergone digital transformation. Low digital literacy, limited access to training and mentoring, and unequal use of technology are challenges that need to be addressed collaboratively by all stakeholders.
As a leading digital telecommunications company in Indonesia, Telkom believes that building a strong digital ecosystem requires not only reliable infrastructure but also strengthening the capacity of the community, businesses, educational institutions, communities, media, and digital innovators to enable them to utilize technology productively and sustainably.
Encouraging MSME Transformation through Digital Literacy and Ecosystems
Through Telkom's Rumah BUMN program, the company consistently provides various training programs, mentoring, and business development facilitation for MSMEs in various regions. Currently, 44 Rumah BUMN Telkom are present in various regions of Indonesia, serving as MSME empowerment centers and digital education platforms for the community.
This program has had a significant impact on increasing the capacity of entrepreneurs. A total of 93,810 entrepreneurs have successfully achieved the Go Modern category, 83,739 entrepreneurs have entered the Go Digital category, and 24,576 entrepreneurs have achieved the Go Online stage. Furthermore, more than 1,040 MSMEs have successfully improved their business quality, enabling them to penetrate export and global markets.
To further strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs, Telkom also offers various training programs on the use of digital technology and AI, helping entrepreneurs improve productivity, marketing effectiveness, and expand market access through digital platforms.
Expanding Market Access Through PaDi UMKM
As part of strengthening the national digital ecosystem, Telkom continues to develop PaDi UMKM as a digital platform that connects MSMEs with a wider market, including state-owned enterprises (SOEs) as buyers.
Through its business matching feature, PaDi UMKM has become a leading platform supporting national business development. By 2024, the value of SOE transactions recorded through the platform will have reached more than IDR 50 trillion. This achievement demonstrates the significant potential of digitalization in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of Indonesian MSME businesses.
Creating Future Digital Talent and Innovation
In addition to encouraging MSME transformation, Telkom is also actively building a digital innovation ecosystem through various startup and digital talent development programs.
Through the Indigo program, Telkom has established startup development centers in various regions, including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Malang, Aceh, and Bali. Since 2013, the program has provided funding to 214 startups, totaling over IDR 90 billion. This initiative is part of the company's efforts to create a space for collaboration and innovation that can generate digital solutions to address various community needs.
In the education sector, Telkom also runs various digital talent development programs such as Digistar Class, Innovillage, DigiUp, Pijar Sekolah, and other educational digitalization initiatives. These programs not only improve the digital literacy of the younger generation but also encourage the creation of social and technological innovations that benefit the wider community.
Orchestrating Collaboration for a Sustainable Digital Ecosystem
As the company's umbrella campaign, #ElevatingYourFuture serves as the foundation that integrates Telkom's various strategic programs into a unified narrative of Indonesia's digital ecosystem development.
Through an education, activation, and orchestration approach, Telkom strives to ensure that all company initiatives have a broader impact on society. Various programs, such as Rumah BUMN (State-Owned Enterprise House), PaDi UMKM (MSME), Digiland, Digiland Run, Digiland Conference, startup programs, and digital talent development, are implemented in an integrated manner to increase digital literacy, expand technology utilization, and strengthen the nation's competitiveness.
Public enthusiasm for these various programs continues to show a positive trend. Digiland, for example, attracted 19,842 participants in 2025, a 15.7% increase compared to the previous year. This increase in participation reflects the growing public engagement in Telkom's various initiatives to support national digital transformation.
Going forward, Telkom will continue to strengthen its role as a driver and liaison for various elements of Indonesia's digital ecosystem. By prioritizing collaboration, innovation, and inclusive technology utilization, the company is optimistic that it can accelerate the national digital transformation while creating sustainable economic and social impact for Indonesia.
