PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), through its Global Strategic Partnership and Synergy (GSPS) unit, continues to strengthen its contribution to the development of national digital talent. This commitment was realized through the "Visit to Strengthen the Value Proposition of Telkom Vocational High Schools through Global Strategic Partnership" event held at Telkom Vocational High School Malang, East Java.

The event, which took place on Friday, January 23, 2026, was attended by Telkom's network of vocational and senior high schools from various regions in Indonesia, both offline and online. In addition to Telkom Vocational High School Malang as the host, the event involved Telkom schools from Purwokerto, Bandung, Medan, Jakarta, Lampung, Makassar, and Banjarbaru, reflecting the synergy and shared commitment to developing the quality of TelkomGroup's vocational education nationally.

This activity is part of Telkom's ongoing efforts to support Indonesia's digital transformation, particularly through strengthening technology-based vocational education. The main focus of this activity is the exploration and strengthening of global strategic partnerships with world-class technology companies (tech giants) to improve human resource capabilities, the relevance of the educational curriculum, and the readiness of Telkom Vocational School graduates to face the needs of the global digital industry.

The agenda included a presentation of the enablement program, a collaboration between Telkom and global technology partners, an interactive discussion with the Telkom Education Foundation (YPT) and school units, and the development of an action plan to follow up on the program's implementation within the Telkom Vocational High School (SMK) educational environment.

Telkom also collaborated with Microsoft, Fortinet, Huawei, and Google through internationally recognized training and certification programs to strengthen the digital talent competency of Telkom Vocational High School teachers and students.

Kamariah Latief, Vice President of Primary and Secondary Education Management at YPT, stated that global collaboration is key to creating a leading school capable of producing internationally competitive graduates.

"The government is encouraging the development of leading schools as national models. Through collaboration with tech giants, we want to ensure that Telkom Vocational High School students have global competencies, including international certification that opens up opportunities for continuing their studies and working abroad," said Kamariah.

Meanwhile, Detriana Margita Sari, GSPS Project Leader, emphasized GSPS's role as a strategic liaison between the world of education and the global technology ecosystem.

"This synergy is a concrete step in bridging the gap between education and the needs of global industry. By bringing expertise from global technology leaders directly into Telkom Vocational High School classrooms, we are optimistic that our graduates will become key players in the global digital economy," explained Detriana.

Through this initiative, Telkom Indonesia is affirming its role as a driver of the national digital talent ecosystem while strengthening Telkom Vocational High School's position as a leading vocational education institution that is adaptive to technological developments, relevant to industry needs, and ready to produce globally competitive graduates.
