PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) received the Best State-Owned Enterprises (Big Cap) award at the 16th IICD Corporate Governance Conference & Award 2025. This prestigious event was held at the Pullman Hotel Thamrin Ballroom in Jakarta on September 15th. The award was presented by IICD organizers and accepted by Telkom's VP of Sustainability, Gunawan Wasisto.
This recognition was given by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in recognition of Telkom's commitment to implementing sustainable Good Corporate Governance (GCG) practices in line with ASEAN standards. This year's assessment was based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) for large-cap and mid-cap issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
The IICD Corporate Governance Award is an annual event that recognizes public companies that implement superior GCG practices and are free from serious cases that violate GCG principles during the assessment period. The ACGS is a regional assessment framework that measures corporate governance implementation based on the principles of shareholder rights, equal treatment, stakeholder roles, transparency and openness, and board responsibility.
"This award reflects Telkom's consistency in strengthening transparent, accountable, and long-term governance. We continue to ensure the integration of ESG aspects into our business strategy, operations, and decision-making," said Telkom's VP of Sustainability, Gunawan Wasisto, after receiving the award.
As a national telecommunications state-owned enterprise, Telkom consistently strengthens governance through several steps as follows: Strengthening the Role of the Board & Risk Management in the form of strategic oversight, effective committee structures, and a measurable risk culture; Transparency & Information Disclosure in the form of comprehensive periodic reporting, including annual reports, sustainability reports, and ESG material disclosures; Protection of Shareholder Rights in the form of equal treatment, shareholder involvement in key decision-making, and the holding of accountable GMS; Protection of Shareholder Rights in the form of equal treatment, shareholder involvement in key decision-making, and the holding of accountable GMS; Sustainability & Business Resilience in the form of integration of climate targets, energy efficiency, sustainable supply chain management, and inclusive digital product and service innovation.
Telkom will continue to strengthen the integration of GCG and ESG to support resilient, responsible, and globally competitive business performance, in line with its mandate as a state-owned enterprise and a large-cap issuer.
