On Kartini Day, TelkomGroup affirms its ongoing commitment to gender equality with a target of 27% female representation at the managerial level by 2030.
PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) affirmed its commitment to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment as part of its GoZero% sustainability strategy - Sustainability Action by Telkom Indonesia, through the Empower Our People pillar. TelkomGroup implements the principles of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) in a measurable and sustainable manner to strengthen an adaptive, innovative, and competitive organization amidst the acceleration of digital transformation.
Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini stated that gender equality is the foundation for building an inclusive organization capable of presenting diverse perspectives. "We believe Indonesian women have enormous potential and capabilities. What is needed is equal opportunity to develop, self-actualize, and take on strategic leadership roles. When access is opened, women can make a real contribution to driving innovation and benefiting society and the nation," she said.
This commitment is reflected in measurable achievements. By 2025, women will represent 31.7% of the total workforce in TelkomGroup, with 21% of these in managerial positions. Going forward, TelkomGroup aims to increase female representation to 32% of total employees and 27% at the managerial level by 2030 as part of its focused DEI strategy. Strengthening female leadership is also evident across various organizational levels. By 2025, women will represent 14.0% of senior management, 23.2% of middle management, and 33.4% of supervisory roles.
Furthermore, TelkomGroup continues to encourage increased female participation in strategic functions, including revenue-generating functions (8.3%) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) (8.1%), as an effort to expand women's access to technology-based sectors.
Furthermore, TelkomGroup presents a tangible manifestation of women's empowerment through leadership representation at the highest levels. The presence of Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini reflects how women play an active role in driving digital transformation while building an inclusive work culture. Her work has also been recognized with the Excellent Mom in Digital Transformation and Regional Connectivity Leadership awards at the 2025 Wonder Mom Awards and the 2025 Perempuan Inspiratif Awards, further emphasizing the role of women at the forefront of the digital telecommunications industry.
In line with the spirit of Raden Ajeng Kartini's struggle, which continues to be present in the contemporary context, Dian emphasized that women's empowerment must be interpreted as an effort to open equal access to opportunities and progress. "In the digital era, connectivity is a crucial bridge for women to become more empowered. With the broadest possible access to information, knowledge, and opportunities, women can advance and develop," Dian concluded.
